Are you a developer of a video game that Qwilderwibben has graciously agreed to make a video of?!
Were you excited to see the title screen pop up, but then immediately disheartened because his computer is an absolute whore and hates your game and everything it stands for by recording it at a tenth of the frame rate?!Then let's buy him one of these!http://www.amazon.com/DVD-Recorders-Players-Audio-Video/b?ie=UTF8&node=1036920(I'd actually like to gauge support before putting in my twenty dollars)I don't have a PayPal though so I'll put this together if we do collect any donors.I dunno, if you donate, maybe you can pester him into using it by recording tons of videos about your game. :DSO YEAH YOU GUYS LET'S DO THISQwilder'll be able to record your games in sexy HD and at hilariously high framerates! What's not to love?!
But that's the thing, my computer can run LS just fine with no lag. Until Fraps starts. Fraps and Game Maker don't like each other, I can record Dead Space/Bioshock/Warhammer 40K etc. at High settings with no lag, but the smallest GM game will have lag. LS has it. TWE has it. Darling Springs has it. Not only that, but Fraps has visual problems with GM as well.
Isn't PVR recording some of the least demanding HD? They're only like $200.
I stopped thinking that the problem was his computer being ass when it was fluently recording some 3D game about moving blocks around with your hands.
I was about to recommend HyperCam, until I used HyperCam to record my game-28 minutes, no sound, 6 frames per second, windowed mode.It turned out to be 1.16 GB and LS still chugged at 9%.Have you tried CamStudio?
I used to use CamStudio exclusively, but lately it hasn't been very good to me :[
Horrendous video quality, audio desync, some bad lag here and there.I would adjust the settings, and end up fixing one thing, but making something else worse.^Yeah, what T said. I done got ninja'd while I was writin' mah comment.
Also, for those who are wondering what T was talking about in his last comment:Thats weird that it would do that. HOWEVER, game maker uses a tremendous amount of cpu power for the simplest things, so i guess i believe you.
However i think to justify this more you should promise to post many videos on here using that capture card D:Oh, yes.
I run the risk of being slapped by saying this but if you donate then you should suggest a game yours or otherwise for him to play no matter what it is.I'm voting for Revenge of the Sunfish!
No, but seriously, that's a good idea, and one I would be willing to do.Heck, if someone gives the fund money I'll do Revenge of the Sunfish, Sexy Hiking, Mary Kate and Ashley's Magical Mystery Mall, or whatever. I would personally suggest you pick a game of your own, but it's up to you. I would think we would want to set a minimum limit of 5 bucks to be able to pick a game though, otherwise random people may come in with a penny and say "LOL GO PLAY DICKLAND FUN ADVENTURE TIEM NAO BECAUSE I GAVE YOU MONEY"I'll probably be making an announcement video about this if it starts picking up some interest.*SLAP*
