This Is A Happy Blog

Oh jesus my last blog was almost a week ago

Blogorrhea is over!

The following content will be interesting to nobody!

Anyway, I am in Galveston, Texas, as per a latter-half-of-Spring-Break-week Spring Break vacation, sitting in a house across from the beach.

Literally, it's across the street.

I don't get out to the ocean very often, as the last time was a cruise to Mexico.

That was for the Spring Break of 2007 >_>

So yeah!

The entire street that our house is on reeks of rotting fish, however. I suspect that it's related to the seafood restaurant that's within a stone's throw.

(I tested this, and almost took out a window.)

We came here instead of Corpus Cristi, or something else marginally more exciting. My dad said that all the "kids" (his word for 'college student in mid-20s') and such go there and other places for Spring Break, so the whole place seems a little deserted and depressing.

It's a shame, too, because I was rather looking forward to witnessing some inebriated debauchery and shirtlessness on their part.

Or off their part, haha, terrible pun.

Tomorrow, we will be hitting the beach!

Quite literally. My mother can't be bothered to seek out a crosswalk nine out of ten times so we end up playing Frogger with the traffic, and there's an eight foot drop off at the end of the sidewalk.

So we will end up vaulting through traffic, and then off a wall.

Because we're smart people.

On the bright side, I shall emerge at the end of the day tan as fuck and more in-shape as a result of the double-digit hours of ocean time.

Wishful thinking.

That's the best way to do it. =)

Damn right!

There's a perfectly serviceable ramp 70 meters to the left, but there's also a wall, right here- so WHY NOT.

That is probably not the best way to test such things…

I love the beach, hopefully in a few years the beach will be closer to me.

Unfair I wasn't around to comment :( I like commenting on non-depressing blogs.

Man, I love swimming. That said, I find the ocean very unnerving to go into. I never go further than where my feet can touch the ground.

Jesus, then, Juurian, put a little more effort into it and re-up them into Imgur or something

@Ferret

You want the sea level to rise several thousand feet? :V
