Something I’ve always wanted to do is run my own game development studio. Working in the independent video game development world as a hobby just isn’t cutting it, and I want to make it into a career. I aim to attain a four-year degree, and then a degree in business, to help make this a reality.
• Some little self-taught C++ and Java programming /most of my programming when I started at the age of eight years was in something called Game Maker• Music composition, synthesized, on a computer /Self- taught, been working at it for about 4 years• Management capabilities, as well as excellent multi-tasking /Running a whole McDonalds single-handedly on multiple occasions, sometimes while filling three or more positions• Typing abilities /Nearly 100 WPM, and generally with >95% accuracy• Foreign language /3 years of Spanish in high school, confident with speaking with native speakers, working at self-taught JapaneseNorman North High SchoolClass of 2013• SAT combined score of 1900- high sub-score of 730 in Math• ACT composite score of 30- high sub-score of 34 in Science• 3.1 ending GPA after a less-than-stellar sophomore year• Attended University of Oklahoma during senior year as a concurrently-enrolled student; took 9 hours per week, alongside 2 classes at NN and 35 hours of work per week, during first semesterTrainer at McDonalds2012 May – current; promoted as of 2011 DecemberTeaching new workers the ins and outs of the restaurant, filling in as a manager when one is unavailable; I’ve been offered management, but can’t follow through at the moment due to an 18-year age requirementWell, what do you think?
