Jazz

While I don't care for the music, I did name my dog after it.

Well, sort of…

Our last dog we had was a Golden Retriever called Jess, smart and loyal, and all around good dog, we got her when I was born and she lived to be 17, when I was around 14 she started getting tumors and eventually cancer, she had surgery 3 times in total.

Most Golden Retrievers and Labradors have hip problems as they get older, its just in their genes, and jess was no exception. The arthritis in her hips got so bad she would no longer go on walks any more, and just lie down most of the day.

Only photo of her I still have on this computer

One day she got up to go outside and she collapsed halfway out the sliding door, it must've really hurt her stomach, she was scampering to get back up, but she couldn't.

So I picked her up, and we went to the vet with my mother, once we got to the vet, the veterinarian said they could put her on steroids, and it might help her.. but that she's so old and asked if we really would want to..

I think we both knew this was coming, but that didn't make it any easier.. So we looked at each other, and we both knew it was best to put her down.

So we let her lie down on the floor, hugged her, and patted her as the veterinarian injected her…

Once we got home, I told my brothers and sisters that we put Jess down, and they were all pretty sad, the worst part was coming home from school, and shes not waiting at the gate, never sitting patiently while we had dinner, never sleeping outside my window in the sun.

After a few months, we were all talking about getting a new dog, and we agreed that when I had finished school, in about 6 months, I'd get a brown Labrador.

I decided to name her something beginning with J, because we often called Jess "J-Dog" etc, so it's nice to still be able to do that.

Jazz, just took this photo a few minutes ago, she's almost 1 year old

And it's nice to come home, and she's waiting at the gate, she's waiting patiently while we eat dinner, she's sleeping outside my window in the sun.

Anywho, Cocopuff's seems to want to work on Twinsen, and thats an opportunity I can't let slip past, he wants to put a new enemy in primarily, so I'm gonna get started on that tonight.

BYAAH!

My old dogs story is more sad.

And do you just have crappy cameras in New Zealand, or did you edit that jazz picture. It looks like double vision.
