Mondayyy Mondayyy…

Woke up today (Monday btw) at about 10am, and about half an hour later, some of my friends were knocking on the window, back and front doors were both wide open, dunno why they didn't just come in.

One of my friends is a Halo nut, plays halo2 online all the time, he actually hangs out with some guys hes met on xbox live lol, anyways, I showed him the new Halo3 videos up on gametrailers, he's pretty much salivating, the game does look fun, and a lot more balanced than halo2, so we played a little halo, street fighter etc.

Then they said they came round because they were delivering pamphlets for Dominos (they both work there), it was in my neighbourhood, they thought they might as well drop by, so I helped them out with the pamphlets, was pretty good, nice sunny day, cool dog started walking with us.. looked like a mix of Labrador and Rottweiler, we saw a few people that we went to school with and I noted about 5 houses some of my old friends used to, or probably still live in.

Then we went to subway for lunch, I should mention, here in New Zealand there's a popular boycott going on against subway, apparently an employee had a drink of coke, not only did he get fired over a $2 drink, but he was arrested…

Pretty fucked up.

Anyways, I don't care, the guys at my subway are cool, and I know a few guys who own subway stores, they've always been cool, hooking me up with free sandwiches, invitations to grand openings etc.

After lunch, my friend wanted to find Super Monkey Ball Deluxe for his Xbox, has good multiplayer. Couldn't find it for rent, went to ebgames and they had it for sale.. $90..

$90, God damn, its a pretty old game, and $90 can get you a brand new game on 360 or something.

He decided to just get it, but he didn't have $90 on him so he put it on lay-away… I was telling him at the counter I could just download the game at home, fuck spending $90 on the game.

Funny, the clerk looked at me and said "C'mon man.. that's illegal" and I said "yeah, but $90 for a fuckin' launch title?"

I think it was a launch title, anywho, it's old as hell.

So he put down like $40 on the game, also some more xbox controllers, dunno how he breaks them so easily.

We came back to my house, I checked the usual places and found a good super monkey ball torrent, should be done by tonight, then I went out back and played fetch with my dog, she's pretty much got it perfect I guess, catches frizbees in mid-air most of the time, and just about kills herself trying to catch the ball before it hits the ground, then she sprints back and drops it at my feet

Also, I've started playing Metroid Prime Hunters on DS again, I forgot how fun the death matches are, and online was awesome too, but we don't have a wireless router anymore

Gotta recommend the game, single player is pretty meh compared to other Metroids, but for a handheld FPS, it is awesome.

Oh and, I didn't really get around to making a new enemy for Twinsen, but I will.. hopefully tonight, because tomorrow's Tuesday, and I won't get it done then.

As you can see, I've started working on the new enemy; a mole type enemy, this animation is obviously very beta, but I think it portrays the effect I was aiming for pretty well..

I wanted some level of humour when he first appears, similar to those giant fish in Yoshis Island, I actually laughed first time they surfaced.. not many games can do that.

I'm working on his attack animation for when he reaches the peak of his jump, and I like how it's going, I should finish it tonight, and can show it tomorrow.
