Omega

Still going strong at Metroid Prime, the Omega Pirate boss is pretty hard, only taken one swing at him so far, but I only managed to take off about half his health.. I keep walking into the damn Phazon pools.

I should get him done tonight.

Again, I haven't done anything today, all I've really done, again is play metroid prime, oh and there's a patch out for Castlevania Portrait of Ruin so it doesn't freeze on various flashcarts, even the legit cart is reported to freeze.. just bad work from Konami I guess.

Like I said, haven't done much… So I'll take the time to talk about some of my favourite TV shows.

I'll start with the best; Day Break:

The basic plot is, a good cop is being framed for the murder of a man he never met, at the end of the day he is dragged into a quarry, shown his girlfriend (super hot) being killed, his sister and her kids being watched, and told he has to admit to murdering the man, and that he has to understand how serious the situation is. Then they inject him with something, and he goes to sleep

He wakes up the next day, in his bed, next to his girlfriend who is very much alive, the same birds chirping outside his window, the same joggers running by, the same garbage truck, and he's going through the same set up again, except he knows whats coming.

Yes, he's stuck in the same day, and it will probably continue repeating until he solves this mystery and exonerates himself, not a truly creative base.

But the beauty is in the execution and pacing, there are absolutely no scenes that obey cliches, no car chases end with crashes, all the action is intelligent, and the characters are excellent.

The show is only 13 episodes, and each is about 45 minutes long. ABC completely shafted the show, canceling it halfway through, then airing the remaining 6 episodes online after they delayed them by months to change all the music apparently.

The only way to watch this show is to download some torrents, but this is the greatest show I have ever watched.

I could go on and on about Day Break, but that usually turns people off, just seriously consider it if you're looking for something to watch that isn't aimed at an audience of idiots.

Next.. would probably be Prison Break, a pretty popular show that Fox have kinda ruined.

This show, like Day Break; was only going to be 13 episodes, but unlike Day Break; Fox gave it a good time slot and didn't fuck up the advertising.

So it was a success, so much so they took it off air around the 6th episode so they could rewrite the story, introduced new characters and layers to the plot to slow things down, and continued it after they actually escaped prison.

It's still pretty good, but they've kinda dumbed it down so they can continue the show.

Now.. I guess it would be That 70's Show.

Don't get me wrong, the last four or so seasons were pretty bad, but the first four were genius.

Characters were lovable, their development was flawless, jokes were legitimately funny.. So those aspects kinda carried the last couple of seasons for me, even though Fox made them run it into the ground, even going so far to make them have a 197X after 1979

But hey, the show was a success and as shallow as their intentions were, it was still pretty good.

Scrubs, scrubs is another great show.

It isn't really one I can watch over and over like That 70's show, perhaps because I don't relate to it as much, but it still rocks.

Good character development, interesting relationships, excellent jokes, they have done really creative episodes like the butterfly episode, every single episode is wrapped up flawlessly, and it isn't out of place at all when they have a really dramatic character defining episode.

The sixth season just ended, and the show has held up nicely, I believe the seventh season will be the last one and I'm kinda glad I know they're going to finish it before they ruin the show.

Malcolm in the Middle.

This one seems kinda ahead of it's time to me, I've been watching it a lot on tv-links lately.

Again, good characters, good jokes, and I can relate to it

Cartoons, I really love Futurama, the greatest cartoon ever if you ask me, great character design in all aspects, great jokes, and similar to some of the comedy in That 70's Show there are references to today's audience, so glad the show is coming back in 2008, even if its just for 13ish episodes.

South Park, it's a love it or hate it show, and if you hate it, you're ignorant.

Harsh? Nah, look at the people who complain about it, Scientoligists, Catholics, PETA members.. I could go on, but I feel like listing these people is making me stupid.

Family guy is awful now.. I can't be bothered going into it.. but the jokes are bad and their segues make it even worse.. I feel like slapping myself whenever I see it

The Simpsons, even worse than Family Guy, and saying that is like some kind of sin. I don't care if the simpsons has been around for 50 years, the show sucks now.

It used to be good, with clever jokes and interesting episodes.

let me sum up the last eleven seasons and every upcoming episode:

Homer and Lisa's relationship gets a little bit stronger

People have a little more faith in Bart and his potential

Marge has some sort of crisis regarding her confidence or self worth

And tons of stupid shameless celebrity cameos and themed episodes.

American Dad, american dad is alright.. a better version of Family Guy pretty much.

Now that I think about it, I probably should've Titled this with something more related to TV Shows.. Oh well

BYAAH!

I dislike scrubs. It was alright at fist, but then it just got kind of annoying. Now I'm mad whenever it's on.

I would agree Futurama is my favorite cartoon.

Haven't seen most the other shows you mentioned, I don't watch much TV, especially during the day.

I hate South Park… Such lame jokes. And I don't quite like the characters, either.

I never liked the Simpsons… I don't understand why others do. There isn't anything special about it.

Futurama, I can't stand. I hate the characters in it… And it wasn't very futuristic at all. Although maybe it wasn't supposed to be, it still made me mad.

Family Guy… Used to be good. Now it sucks. Personally I don't quite like the references every two seconds.

Actually, I despise the idea of having a stupid main character. I just can't stand it. It's old, and lame. Why not have smart main characters…? And I've always seen the stupid ones as actually smart, it's just that they try to make them seem dumb and whatnot. ::P

I really don't watch TV almost at all though. Only because there is never anything good on… ::/

I read like half this blog. I'm too bored to do otherwise. Leave me alone. ::D

Also, Symphony of the Night > Dawn of Sorrow > Portrait Of Ruin >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>> Super Castlevania 4, get it right guyz. ::(
