You may have noticed I didn't post an entry yesterday, well if you noticed that, you've probably been keeping track of my blog and knew it was my birthday, yup, as the title suggests, I'm 19.
And as with most birthdays, I don't feel any different.I got some nice presents, the usual magazines, a wallet, vouchers, chocolate, some vodka, t-shirts, a hat, and my parents gave me a nice watch. It's very slick, but a little loose, I need to get a few links taken out of the strap so it'll fit better.Oh, and it was also Tuesday yesterday, since I was going out to dinner with my family, I told them we might as well just Tuesday dem shits up next week, but nah, even though every show we watch is on a break at the moment, they wanted to come round, so I told em I should be home by 10.10pm rolls round and so do they, they came in and one of my friends had a copy of Okami with him, turns out he's gonna lend it to me. to be fair, I have been going on about it a fair bit to some of my friends, usually summarizing it as a mix of Twilight Princess and Wind Waker, I guess they were listening. And I don't own a PS2, so I'm also borrowing one of my friend's PS2.But, I'm still rocking the gamecube with Echoes, I think I'm around halfway… Needless to say, I'm at the point where I certainly understand the reviewers when they said "You will dread the dark world at times", coz I definitely am.Not a sense of "man this is shit, I need to turn this off" it's more a genuine feeling of claustrophobia, and you just want to get back to the relative safety of the light world, it's not too overwhelming, but it really makes it a lot more immersive. Also, I dusted off my old GBA flash cart, still got some crappy roms on it, so I thought I might put some new stuff on, I definitely don't have the software disc anymore, and the official website has been down for years. After a while of searching, I gave up and made a topic at some forums asking for help. Some guys answered, linking me to lots of software, drivers and firmware I needed, I installed it all, thanked them.(you really have to appreciate the times people help you out a lot online)Then put Sonic Advance 2, Another World (this one is legal, and free, you can download it for PC and for GBA, though it you do, be prepared to be puzzled ), Metroid Fusion and Yoshi's Island, I do actually own thse games (yes seriously) but I lent them to friends, or they just got stolen, oh well.BYAAH!
Happy Nineteenth!
