Recap

64Digits is apparently moving, so I actually wrote this entry in notepad (even this part)

Last entry, it was about 5am and I just wanted to go to bed. But I'm really trying to keep up this daily blog, even if I don't have much to write about for that day…

Yesterday's entry was pretty short, and I kinda forgot a bit, so I'll go back..

I took Jazz to the supermarket, bought some chocolate, came home and made some brownies again, the recipe I use asks for 250g of chocolate, and even though the packaging says 250g, my scales weigh it in at 210g (even with the packaging) so I think I'll send Cadubry an email, they're essentially stealing at least 15% extra money

Later that night my friends came around, one of my friends finally brought back the gamecube controllers I lent him.. They're actually my brother's controllers, but I said he could keep them since my brother deleted my file on Twilight Princess.. man that pissed me off..

One of my friends showed up a bit later with Guitar Hero on 360, he just bought it and the guitar controller thing, my friends played it for like.. 3 hours. To be honest, I don't really like those games, I guess it's a combination of the fact I don't care for guitars or rock music and that I just think it's really not worth the price.. I mean, $200 for a guitar shaped controller and a game where you just essentially tap buttons? Come on..

I still gave it a go though, and I think I did okay, took a few tries to get the hang of it, but it's pretty intuitive, even for someone who has never played, atleast seriously, a guitar before.

I was telling my friend that I think it would be a whole lot cooler if it was more of a game, and I told him about an indie game where I think you can hook the guitar up to PC and play it with that, it won some awards I think.. Anywho, the trailer looked really cool, fun music too.

Still, he couldn't really picture it, so I pulled out the bongos and loaded up Donkey Kong Jungle Beat on the gamecube, after I did a few levels, they wanted a turn, and we ended up playing that for a few hours.. Man, what a fun game, it's not like I forgot it was good or anything, but I just stopped playing one day.

After that- we played Halo2 like usual, except this time we played a hacked version.. called "Killtrocity2" or something.. some of it is really cool, but some of it is super lame, some level remixes can just be annoying; night time, rain and fog everywhere.. the originals are better.

But there still is a lot of fun to be had with it, the vehicle guns and gravity guns especially, we threw each other around for probably an hour, seeing how high we could go, launching warthogs with three people, one jumps out at the peak of the first jump, and launches the warthog further from there, then the next person does the same, and finally the last… Really really high.

After they all headed home, infact when I was writing yesterday's entry, my friend rang me on my cellphone, to ask if he left his 360 cables here, yep, still plugged into my TV, so he got in a taxi, came back, picked them up, and taxi'd back to his house lol.. man what a waste of $40

So then I went to bed, woke up today at about 1pm, and Cocopuffs was finally online, he wasn't on for long, but I still managed to send him the graphics for the new cutscene, so… fingers crossed.

He then logged off, and I went to play some Gears of War with James in the lounge, it still impresses me watching it on our nice LCD screen, and it's a cool game, one of the few "realistic" looking games with a nice style and not too much brown.

Though the chainsaw doesn't seem to always work, sometimes I have to hold B for ages and be at the right angle, and it's just too risky to run ahead and cut them down samurai style.

I gave up after a while, we were playing on expert and we just kept getting game-over in the same area, so I went back to my room and played donkey kong with the bongos, some parts are a bit repetitive, but I don't really mind with the bongos, it just makes it fun.

Oh, and some good news, since Cocopuffs hasn't been on much lately, I made another level in his absence, well my friend sketched it down on paper, and I recreated it in game maker, it's a pretty cool level, looking forward to playing it. I think I might try to make a fifth level in time for the demo, I've got a bad feeling Cocopuffs might continue to be offline so often and we'll have to wait till after he gets back from fishing…

But even then, its only another week or so, and if that happens, I'll do my best to make up for the extra delay.

That's about all for today, I've got a full screen of text in notepad right now and I don't want to add any more that I'll need to check for quality

BYAAH!

I don't know about Jungle Beat, but Donkey Konga is really nice. I might want to borrow Jungle Beat from somewhere. =)

As for Twinsen, make sure that the gameplay doesn't get repetitive or boring, and add different kind of scenarios(sp?) for us to play. But I think you already knew that so.. Just make the game. :D

yah donkey konga is alright, as good as a music-bongo game could be :P

As for variation in Twinsen, we have a lot planned, both scenario wise and gameplay wise, in the demo there will be (probably)5 levels, and while they don't vary much, there's a fair bit to master.
