Since I'm not gonna show any new tiles today either, I guess the best thing to write about other than the work I did on them was the fact I watched the Simpsons movie today.
First, let me start off by making it clear how much the show annoys me.It used to be great, but like all shows, it reached a certain point where the writers stopped developing the characters, and now they're stuck in these loops where Homer and Lisa will always slightly improve their relationship, Marge will constantly have some sort of mental breakdown, Bart will pleasantly surprise people's low expectations, and tons of shameless celebrity cameos.Really, that does sum up the last seven seasons of the show, and pretty much the movie, but, the movie wasn't half bad.As low as my expectations are for the show, I knew the movie would at least be better, they've spent much more money on it and it shows.Stuff is actually shaded, there is quite a lot of cel shaded 3D (despite some of the trailers boasting the fact they dare to be an "ugly 2D movie") and some parts actually made me laugh.I haven't laughed at the show in a long time, most of their jokes are so mild, and they try to deliver the punchlines as if it's some of the most controversial shit ever.It just leaves you saying "ugh.."So would I recommend the movie?Yeah, I would especially to those that still like the show, not because you'll enjoy it even more, but because maybe it will put things in perspective and you'll realize that the Simpsons haven't been this funny for a long time.Okay, I just downloaded GM7 with a crack, and I'm gonna get back to tiling. BYAAH!
The Simpsons are pretty good. Family Guy is good too, and I also really like King of the Hill. Futurama as well.
I thought Futurama just took like a month for an episode.
Is that true? Or was the shoiw just cancelled? The Simpsons movie sucks period.
Beavis and Butthead>Aqua Teen Hunger Force>South Park>The Brak Show>Futurama>Family Guy>Simpsons>American Dad
Finally someone mentions King of the Hill. Nice call Melee.
Anyways, Futurama is my favorite, followed by King of the Hill probably. Simpsons and Family Guy are somewhere way behind those two. And the rest are barely on the charts. Even though Aqua Teen did make me laugh a couple times, those digital dudes just aren't enough to make it a good show. You seem familiar, cocopuffs….
King of the hill is good, I find bobby kinda annoying though.
better than the simpsons for sureI acknowledge King of the Hill, but I never found it funny. And I meant the Simpsons humor is sophisticated in compared to Family Guy. Family guy is 40% complete, utter randomness, 50% flashbacks, and 60% awkward moments to share with your parents if they were watching it with you.
I just watched the Simpsons Movie. I agree with what you said, if they just focused on making good, funny humor, the show would be better. I don't know how they got to put some of the stuff on the screen as PG however, including seeing Bart's penis. I do see how they could show Homer giving the finger (4 fingers- where is the middle?)
