Today I played some more of Super Metroid Redesign, organized a to-do-list, discussed some Twinsen stuff with Cocopuffs, and searched for a good screen capture program.
I plan on making a trailer once we have the demo ready, so I started searching for a good screen recording program.I still have yet to find a good program that will record sound and won't slow down the game to a ridiculous degree.I have the sinking feeling I may end up having to use the built in gif recording function to make the trailer.. it's nice and all, but to make an actual trailer with it is a lot of work, I mean I have to:First convert all the frames into a gif.Convert the gif to a movie file.Add sound effects and music manually.Plus a ton of production editing.Ultimately, it's a better solution to the programs I've used so far, as they slow it down so bad it's just terrible.. plus I will have control over every single pixel of every single frame.. even though there is a bit of colour loss…So, I'm sure a lot of you guys have made trailers for your games before, and if you know of a good program, or alternative solution, please leave a comment. In other news, I'm thinking it's about time I got a job, I'd like to work in a video store, and as luck would have it, my friend said the store in his neighbourhood is looking for someone, so I'll head in there soon and grab an application.I hope I do get a job there, but ultimately I wouldn't mind working at somewhere like Mc'Donalds, it's about time I moved into a new routine.BYAAH!
Ive never had a job but there are a lot of places within a 3 mile radius that are hiring, good for me seeing as I can't drive.
…TakaM; you're the great pixel-artist, yes?
Anyway, I need to find another job, too. [:(]camstudio?
I've been trying to find the same thing.
Yeah, what FB said. Camstudio is great (as long as you set quality to 100%), I recommend it.
I just downloaded camstudio, it lagged D=
