A few of you are probably contemplating the blog title. Well, allow me to elaborate:
In my Karate class, we've been learning how to wield Bo staves. Now, those of you who don't know what a bo is, it's basically a solid wooden(although it can be made of other materials) staff, of varying length(usually based on the height of the wielder, mine is roughly 6 feet). It's used defensively, as well as offensively. Plus, it's a lot of fun to swing around.I've been practicing a lot lately, more specifically, my figure-8 form(figure-8[sometimes called a butterfly] is a defensive form, and can be performed using one or both hands). Here's an excellent example ofBo-nage

That is defiantly ninj-a-rific :o
I wish I could do that. When I was in Taekwondo, one class the stupid teacher tried to teach us how to wield those staves, but then we didn't have another class about it.
The teacher sucked, it is not surprise why I quit.I've always wanted to take a Martial Arts Class
Holy crap, that was cool. By the way, where is the dude in your avatar from?
Dunno, just did a random google image search
In Taekwondo, you hardly use weapons, even though I'm pretty skilled with the nunchuku, or as we call them, sonjabons.
Oh, I'm testing for my black belt later this month.Nice, nice.
My friend has a black belt, but doesn't seem very dangerous or skilled like that. What does one have to do to get a black belt??
