Ok, so I went to the mall today to do a bit of shopping, mainly for clothes. Before we left, I stopped by EB Games to check for Wiis. Of course, there were none. I wasn't surprised. So, I stop by the Xbox 360 demo and play a bit of Lost Planet. The graphics nearly made me soil myself.
Anyway, on the way out of there, I spot F.E.A.R. on the PC games shelf. I'd heard a lot of good about it, and one of the workers said it was really good, so I picked it up.I get home, and start tedious installation process. Five freakin' discs later, it's done. I launch the program, only to get this message:"FEAR.exe is not a valid win32 application."I get a bit pissed, but decide to try restarting my computer. This time when I launch it, the screen actually goes black as if it's going to do something, but then I get this message:"FEAR does not support your current video card."So, I figure I'll try it on this computer, a much newer machine. I pop in the disc, and wait…. and wait… and wait. Nothing. So I open up My Computer, and look for the disc drive. It's not there. I kid you not, my computer does not recognize the fuckin' E: drive. BULLSHITSo basically I spent about 20 bucks and a few hours of my life buying a game that I can't even play. Awesome.
Damn that really sucks! I know how you feel. I spent 10+ days to get Oblivion on BitTorrent, and then it wouldn't open. =( Try to sell it on eBay or something(Might not be the best idea).
Well, I could just return it to EB…
Returning it it the best idea. Then go to www.fileplanet.com and download the free Fear online multi player game. It's the same thing but Online multiplayer.
Ouch =/ Thats why consoles are good. =P
Well, I'm gonna bring it to EB, but first I'm gonna see if they have the necessary video card. If not, I'll just switch for another game or something.
Of course, I'd need upwards of $600…
Geez, a $600 video card?! What currency is this?
…bitch
