It's been about 3 days since my last blog entry, so I figure I better write another before I fall behind. I've been trying to figure out how to change the appearance of my userpage (where I should write in the CSS). In any event, yesterday was the first time I touched GM in like 2 weeks. I'm currently working on a birthday surprise for my mother. You can be sure that it will include funny family pics, completely irrelevant music and sounds, and perhaps a guest appearance by Robin Williams. But that costs extra.
Anyway, if any of you remember, I was working on a 3D game last time I was using GM. Well that kinda crashed; I really overestimated my knowledge of GML. So I'm going back to less taxing stuff, trying to make a simple online deathmatch game for me and a friend. I had him test it last night, but for some reason we just couldn't connect to the other's game. This of course gave way for some bad language, and high blood pressure. So, there you have - the latest installment of my life.Good day to all,-Mike
For the online thingy, was it a router issue? =P
Don't know, he said had his firewall off so that could be it. He has had router issues in the past.
If you used mplay, that's why. mplay is practically no good, and if it even does connect it's damn slow.
…there's an alternative to mplay? What, you mean that GMsock thing? Oh, I'd never be able to figure that out :(
