I've got a few more tracks to share with you all.
The songs where tested on various speakers and headphones until I achieved a decent level of quality through each. I am fairly happy with how these came out. Overall, the songs are less dreamy/pop-ish and more sinister and dark.The tracks are more acid based than my previous tracks and contain plenty of squelching TB 303 inspired bass sequences.I utilized what turned out to be a very efficient limiter/maximizer and was able to get the tracks pretty hot without sacrificing sound quality.I realized upon more careful listening how much worse my previous tracks sounded in mp3 format, so I exported these tracks at 320 kbps in order to maintain a good level of quality. Well I finally got around to listening to this!
I liked it up until the title track… and then I loved it. The atonal stuff was what got me, and the beats are pretty messed up too. The noise in Beautiful and Useless (incidentally, cool track name) beginning around 2:30 is great, and the destructive ending is killer. I feel like the first part of that track is the "Beautiful" and the second part is the "Useless"… right?The sounds in I'd Die For You Lily are very reminiscent of early Animal Collective. (But you're not really into them are you?)The rest of the album was solid, especially Kool Quids, I guess I'm more drawn to the noisier stuff though!oh hey, you're finally zeroing in on that sound i see, the title track and the last track capture that spacey beat-oriented style way better than what i've been able to do with just synths and drums lately. really looking forward to what you come up with next!

Hel, I have a feeling you'll like some of the stuff I'm doing now.. ;)And Poly, that's a cool way of looking at the track Beautiful and Useless. I never think of a name, and I always listen to my tracks several times afterward and just try and name it something that seems to fit the feeling. (I suppose many people do that). At the time, I think I felt the track had some beautiful sounds and qualities to it, but underneath was this sort of dark, going nowhere chord progression. I also kept envisioning, set in the future, women walking down a runway at a fashion show. XD I don't know why.
