Sneak peak track

Posted by The Avatrol on March 31, 2011, 1:18 p.m.

I've been writing music non stop and trying to switch things up more and avoid extreme repetition. Here's a sneak peak on the album I'm working on now. Looking for comments, critiques, suggestions, etc. How does it sound on your speakers? What was your favorite part? Stuff like that..

Let me know and thank you all for your support! :)

Cool! A couple of the glitch effects sounded a little loud (that quick sweep that sounds kinda like a laser). I really like the downtempo switch about a minute in though.

Thank you! Lately I've been doing a bunch of downtempo stuff, I like the mental effect it has when you expect the song to really pick up but it just switches around and the bass line gets more complicated or something. appreciate the feedback. I recently bought a pair of Sennheiser HD 595 headphones. (they are absolutely astonishing), but I might have to tweak my EQ changes to get a more universally balanced sound for everybody.

loving the atmosphere but feels like it needs vocals or something to anchor it structurally. is really cool the way it is though, with the ending and all.

Let me preface this by saying that I love artists like Grieg, Chopin, Owl City, Celtic Woman, Handel, etc. All of my (limited) music education has been in traditional/classical styles.

I can hear a tempo, but I'm having trouble picking out a melody. I feel like you strung 4-6 songs together in effort to avoid repetition. Personally, my favorite test of electronic music (like Owl City) a piano. If it doesn't sound good there, synthesizing it won't help.

I realize this is heavy criticism, but I'm probably not your intended audience. So don't pay too much attention to me. :)

P.S. On my K240s, I feel like there is a lack of midrange tones, and it sounds a bit fatiguing. But the stereo effects are nice.

uh, well the beat is there and remains continuous throughout the whole song. It's just a 4/4 beat..

I think it sounds too busy because the release on the bell synths is really long and maybe a bit too much reverb, I'll see what I can do..

I don't mind at all when people don't like my stuff, so long as they aren't like WTF THIS SHIT IS STOOPID!!!1

Some people like it, many people don't.
