1.8 "released"

Notch quietly released 1.8 for testing…

Make sure to backup your old minecraft.jar (I guess that goes without saying for anybody here who's actually playing Minecraft here)

Everything in minecraft is broken from minor changes. There is no limit to the bugs they are able to introduce/reintroduce from minor tweaks.

Just saying, I don't expect most of the new bugs to fixed until at least the game is released (judging from previous failed updates). Like, seriously, the developmental process for Mojang is; add and forget.

Holy balls is XP majorly flawed. If you die, you lose your experience, and have to pick it up again, but you drop that much XP that the area gets too laggy to return to and attempt to pick it up :P
