Ok, I am going to "attempt" (yeah, you have heard a million of those for MMORpg games, I know) to make an MMORpg. I doubt it will be any good. It will have tons of stuff that you can do. I want you guys to comment on whether I should make it medieval or modern (guns, camo, vehicles, etc…). Either way it will have tons of items, chat, games(to play with other players), monsters, and alot more, but I don't want to give it away. I have figured out how to make alot of it in my mind already. It will use player messages to do the actions such as changing the players x and y, opening doors, logging out, etc… Trading will not be in the first few versions of it though, it will take a little longer to conquer. Please post any ideas you guys may have too. You will be able to get jet packs (or somthing reletively similar in the medieval if I decide to make it medieval) in the modern. You will have houses that you will be able to put a tv in, which I am planing on trying to play somthing on it, your pet(s), furniture, and whatever else you can think of. It will have stores, a bank, loads of weapons (which you should post what weapons you would like to see in a mmorpg), and alot more. Post your comments, medieval or modern, suggestions, and weapon ideas, item ideas, and whatever else you can think of.
PS: Common Guys, seriusly, post what you would like to see in it. Items, weapons, quests, clothes, features not really related to game play, anything.
Wow. Short blog. I gotta do my job….
*Cue SJF
//I have figured out how to make alot of it in my mind already.//I highly doubt that. Do you even know what GMSock is?Don't bring me into this. You know I'll tear this kid to shreds if I get into this. Don't pressure me to own noobs. I do it on my own free will.
lol seriously though this kid has no clue.He makes two blogs in one day after a couple MONTHS of being here and staying silent, and suddenly he wants to create an MMORPG without any prior experience making Multiplayer… ANYTHING, or even RPGs. He thinks that the most important decision point in his endeavors is whether it should be medieval or modern. Nevermind that he probably has no clue how to deal with player interaction and synchronization, or how to create item trading, or how to initiate online combat without lagging down the walking functions of players, or how to synchronize only between rooms (and only send the messages to the players in the given rooms, as well), and he probably hasn't even gotten into data types and Winsock/gmSock… probably still using MPLAY and thinking that since the speed difference isn't that much when it comes to something like PONG, that should indicate that a full-fledged MMORPG is alright to go ahead and code it in…
…He'll probably release some crappy demo that just includes people walking around, and maybe you can chat (but without scrollbars because that is just beyond comprehension M I RIT!?) and it'll be glitchy movement and have bugs even though it's almost nothing, and people will compliment him on it and I might pretend to be nice and tell him to keep working on it, but he won't. He'll hit a point where he realizes "Oh shit, I don't know what I'm doing." and for a month or so he'll say "I'm working on it, jsut keep waiting" and maybe show a screenshot, but in actuality he isn't working on it at all and he'll eventually quit.…and the cycle will continue when some other kid does the same thing next week.I love doing that.
@SleepinJohnny: Haha… So unbelievably true.
Care to show us wrong Lukester?Umm, You got it wrong. I do have experience. I have even been taking summer classes for gamemaker every summer. I just wasn't active on here for a while because I was active on the gmc instead of here. That doesn't mean I don't have experience.
*murmers happily* I thought you were one of these people.

Ok, sorry for saying that, I am going to delete that post since it isn't true. I am sorry, that is what I honestly thought though. Hope you understand. Thanks and sorry about that.
@SleepingJohnyFish: Unfortunately for you, everything that you listed (and I am serius, EVERYTHING) I have already thought about and have a way to make it work well. So don't come trying to make me go "BOO HOO", because you haven't, so don't waist your time here on my topic if you aren't going to do anything then try to tair me down.
