Battle Legends Online Progress

Yup, I have made quite a bit of progress in my game. First things first, though. I made myself a new banner, tell me if you like it. I have been posting on my blog at my <a href="http://lukesterspy.freehostia.com/">site</a> a bit lately too.

<div style="background: lightgray; color: black; border-top-color: black; border-top-style: solid; border-top-width: 1px; border-bottom-color: black; border-bottom-style: solid; border-bottom-width: 1px;"><center><b>Battle Legends Online Progress</b></center></div>

For those of you who don't know what Battle Legends Online is, it is an online multiplayer rpg that is being developed by me, Lukesterspy. You may be thinking, "wow, he has actually progressed with this game", and I can say yes! I have a lot actually. A list of what I have done is below.

<table><tr><td>-</td><td>Login System</td></tr><tr><td>-</td><td>News System</td></tr><tr><td>-</td><td>Server List System</td></tr><tr><td>-</td><td>Server List Chat</td></tr><tr><td>-</td><td>Asking Server If It Is Full</td></tr><tr><td>-</td><td>Inventory System (gui)</td></tr><tr><td>-</td><td>Buddies System (gui)</td></tr><tr><td>-</td><td>Stats System (gui)</td></tr><tr><td>-</td><td>Radar System</td></tr></table>

So yeah, I have gotten quite a bit done in Battle Legends Online lately. The inventory system actually took me a while to code, it kept not doing what I want, but now that it works, I think it is pretty powerful. Battle Legends Online looks pretty cool so far too I think, here are some screen shots (the screen shots or anything in the screen shots are not yours, they are mine, so you may not use anything you could possibly get from them for your own use (I am talking image-wise of course)).

<table><tr><td><a href="http://64digits.com/users/Lukesterspy/BLOnline_In-Game_Screen_Shot_1.PNG">Screen Shot 1</a></td></tr><tr><td><a href="http://64digits.com/users/Lukesterspy/BLOnline_In-Game_Screen_Shot_2.PNG">Screen Shot 1</a></td></tr><tr><td><a href="http://64digits.com/users/Lukesterspy/BLOnline_In-Game_Screen_Shot_3.PNG">Screen Shot 1</a></td></tr><tr><td><a href="http://64digits.com/users/Lukesterspy/BLOnline_In-Game_Screen_Shot_4.PNG">Screen Shot 1</a></td></tr></table>

There is a website now working too for Battle Legends Online <a href="http://blonline.freehostia.com/">here</a>. There are some more screen shots of the news/login room and the server list room in the preview section of that site. The forums there also should work. Totally ignore the "online users" and "new users" or whatever I called them on the site, they don't work, those were just graphical tests when I made that template. If you have any ideas or anything, you can post it on the forums if you want…or I guess you could just post it in this blog, lol.

On Runescape I have gotten my defense level to 60, and obtained my first dragon med helm. I am currently collecting snape grass to make money on it. Yeah, that is about all, good day to you.

That looks like Runescape. No, that wasn't a compliment.

Does it? I think it looks quite nicer than Runescape Classic, and totally different from Runescape 2.

Yeah but then it looks like it has a Diablo style inventory

omfg please make it Diablo style inventory.

Though, on a related note, how much of enemy AI is done? I know with most GM ORPG's monsters become a critical point for abandoning a game.

I like it :3

Actually, the in game offline programming is almost done, then comes the in game chat comes, then the walking and moving, then armor and clothes, then monsters I think is how I am going to do it. That way I can do the armors defense equations with the enemies. I have figured out how I am going the monsters before also, I really just have to think about it for a while (and possibly write it in pseudo code) and I will get what I want to do usually.

From a technological point of view, this looks very well made. The graphics are plain and the gameplay may turn out to be unoriginal though. Watch that you're not simply copying a well-explored genre - to be successful you must create something new and interesting.

Wow, thanks Juju.

I do have a lot of ideas for it, but I am not sure if they are all original. If you check out my <a href="http://lukesterspy.freehostia.com">blog</a> on my site, there should be some of my ideas on it. I might also post them here on 64Digits.
