Bloggability? naaaw... some Blender stuff, though

Hey!

Figure it might be worth it to keep a blog/journal of my blender stuff. Been using it for just under a year. I am a game developer based in western Canada. I work with a startup company called Fireskies Studios. Here's to a rich three dimensional journal of Blendering…

I played around with a displacement modifier to give it a bumpy surface and texture as well as the remesh modifier to give it that cubish look, and then layered a slight blur over top of the solid image.

As for the rest… I've been an avid user of 64digits for ages. In fact I still have stuff on here from when I was using Windows 98. I went through some of my stuff from way back when, and admittedly it was quite a trip. Pretty stoked about the bloggability though.

@Mega: Damn, that's right. I never use plugins when I model, lol. Forgot they could even do stuff like this, especially in Blender, since I haven't touched it in the years since me and 3Ds Max made love.

@Mega - No downer detected :/… I just used a couple of modifiers to do that, no real modeling skill required… As for render time, it took me about 15 seconds. I have a very slow computer though (2 gigs RAM, 2 ghz processing), it's five years old. When I get my first paycheck, I'm putting it towards a new computer…
