Hey guys,

This is my latest track. I finished it a couple days ago. First real time I've included any analog synthesis in my music. I dig the trend. I think I'm gonna keep doing it! :)

Cheers

Nice, another BC guy. Good music, too. I like Barefoot Through the Forest.

Very good. :)

I love the abstractness to it.

Rob - Where from?

Stevenup- I have this plugin called "Wow and Flutter", to emulate ahem… wow and flutter, as well as a plugin called Imperfection (Also a freebie). I highly recommend both of these. It helps give the strings that old cassette feel. Also, using mostly sus chords, and an augmented sort of helps, and not really bringing them to resolution keeps up the discordance.

Almost everything you hear is actually digital. That's how I've been operating the past ten or so years, it's only recently (really as of last year) that I've started expanding my "studio." What you're hearing that's analog is a kick, hihat and snare sample being layered over the main drums as well as the last synth that I introduce into it. It's from a Korg Monotribe. It's a fun toy and I'm hoping to order a MIDI hacking kit for it because it's a totally boss little box that needs much better sequencing capability.

Everything else is digital, but has been analog modeled, just using the Sytrus plugin mostly.

I think we may differ in our preference to synthesized percussion. I fucking love it :D. I have a very large collection of drum samples, and I always find myself going back to the 707s (Which were originally samples), 808s, and CR78s. I do use drum loops as well (Mostly for drum'nbass, but it also works really well in psy trance). I also make a lot of my percussion samples in FL Studio.

I should really just post a blog about my processes, thus far and how they've changed. My gear collection is actually pretty minimal.
