the link to my small rant about drugs, it's comment 24.

the thing about drugs is, is that most people either use them because a friend forces you or you use them to escape problems. i'm going to talk about both here, so stick around.

1. PEER PRESSURE.

yes, it's a good escuse. no, you aren't being 'forced'. the fact about this little problem, is that you CAN tell your friends 'no, i don't want to do any drugs or that stuff. i just don't feel like it.' that's the good kind of answer. now most people DO give in, but simply because they were threatened or just thought it would be 'cool'. fact: i don't need to be cool, it only gives you a certain spot in society. society can wait, YOU come first. when you're threatened, take it like a man/woman and say 'no, i don't want them.' if you say 'ok', then it shows them how weak you truly are, and just shows them that they can mess with you all they want. besides, i HAVE been threatened to do something like that. i said 'no' and reported them. i got 50 bucks out of the deal instead of bullys on my ass forever. and i am not cool at all in reality. neither is gary. we already know that we don't have to be cool. besides, i don't feel like turning into some cool prep person. i don't really like preps, but its getting of the topic.

2. DRUGS TO ESCAPE REALITY

people, this has got to be the dumbest reason to use drugs EVER. i mean EVER. it's stupid, because in reality, drugs are stimulants that make you feel happier, or more disapointed, depending on mood. same with beer, only difference is that it 'helps' you escape reality. it will NOT help you escape reality at all costs. because reality will pay back in spades if you try to run from it, and believe me, it WILL pay back in spades. i know this because in the sixth grade, i went around peoples garages stealing random things, just because i didn't have them. apparently, i started to use them, but more and more came, reality kept me back from having them, so i kept stealing, until finally, some police stopped by my hideout one day and took me back to my parents to tell them what i did. i told them the truth, and they WERE pissed, but they actually lowered my grounding sentance a bit because i told the truth why i did it. i learned from that, to try not to cheat through reality or run from it either. i took it like a man, not some dirty little lying sissy. most people, as i said earlier, use drugs to escape reality. it normally continues to the point where soon, the user gets smacked upside the head by reality. wether it be arrest or death, you WILL pay the price by doing things like that.

of course, when people are of age, they can smoke whatever theywant, but only do it for the RIGHT reasons, not to escape reality, or anything else! the thing is, drugs altogether really just wreck your life if you aren't careful. so i'm asking right now, to smoke and drink responsibly, and don't use or sell anything illegal. there ARE reasons for it being illegal. and with that, i'm off.

… man, haven't you heard of the wierd disorders you can get from JUST doing them? NOT just abusing them, you can get a sickness, abused or not. it's obvious, simply because you oughtta ask someone what just smoking did to him, not abusing it, not doing anything. he'll most likely say it screwed up his lungs.

in my book, doing drugs is suicide. you are putting POISON into your body, so it can DISABLE certain parts of it to acheive effects that can be pleasurable. Acedemidiphine lowers the body;s ability to feel pain, Cyanide (if i remeber correctly) destroys the body's ability to carry oxygen among other things, and nicotine (for lack of a better explanation) substitutes a chemical in your brain, eventually making the brain think that it does not have to produce that chemical anymore. The actual effects of drugs on you is dramatic.

the problem is, what are we going to do? the common cold's symptoms would be 10x worse without the drugs we have today. There are already millions of people who depend on Nicotine, and therefore banning it would be unethical. The problem is by not banning it you cant stop new users. so were kinda stuck in a loop, moving in any direction will hurt. as for arsenic… its in cigarettes.

Drugs are just fun to do.

I find that very sad, I've heard cases where someone does drugs three times, twice, or even once, and they still die. You guys are too cool to risk you whole lives for something this stupid, plus you lose out on your hard earned cash. It's a nasty, deadly, expensive habit. One that you guys need to quit.

really. i just saw an educational video on cocaine today for my health class today. it showed alot of people that were glad they stopped once they knew what it was doing to them. those people that i saw on it were 5 of only 500 out of a whole lot more people that didn't hit rock bottom from spending so much money and time on cocaine. it turns out that they lost everything before they quit cocaine, their money, their friends, and nearly their lives. i seriously urge people to try and stop doing drugs. trying not to be a hippy about it, but that's just the facts.
