It's supposed to represent the life cycle, where in the beginning with the colorful rainbow and such, is supposed to represent youth, but the creeping dread of bad memories eventually comes up as one grows, until they grow to the point where one fights to hold onto the heart of their youth, but lose it to the despair of grief and death, until they use religion as a last resort, which clearly doesn't last long. In the final fleeting moments of life, we contemplate how fragile we really are, and as we fade away, we watch the memories float off in the ocean of our sorrows.
That a good enough translation? Try watching it after that explanation, it should make much more sense.
I figured as much - after all, memento mori means 'remember, for you shall die' - it symbolizes the preciousness of life. Also, the video's title is "lifeforce" :D
I listened to the song twice. The first time my speakers were at 1 volume and the second time they were on 5 (which is a big difference). The second time sounded like a whole different song. Or the same song, but worse. I liked it the first time though.
Now, that was just plain strange.

It is, but the song is called memento mori. :P
This is probably the most beautiful thing I've ever witnessed, just don't try to make sense of it and enjoy the visuals and music.
Fucking epic video.

ASD made a bunch of other videos, but I happen to like this one the most.
