POLL. 64quest idea

Posted by V on July 2, 2006, 5:24 p.m.

i've been thinking recently, that 64quest would be very difficult to create for me, especially considering the fact that i used large looking sprites for it, and i recently began ANOTHER new project, that actually looks nicer, neater, and more thought out, and especially much easier on me when it comes to spriting. the main character (me) will look like what all those people look like in the banner for the new project that i started, but i have been thinking that i am doing SO WELL on the new project than the old one, that i thought i would trash the other one and declare the new project i am working on, 64quest. it won't have as MANY spells as what the old one has planned, but it should be much simpler for controls, it will still have all the elements and such, but less spells, and a bit more variety, and it will still include summons and everything, it'll just have a new look and much better engine to work with, i will soon post links to the current 64quest and the NEW 64quest that i think should overwrite the older version, but i'm not going to decide without somebodies opinion, so you guys can choose.

DL the zip below (it contains both games) and tell me which one would seem better, it would do me miracles if i had some answers from the public, SO!

everyone please submit your responses as comments and tell me which one should be 64quest, A or B.

A. old version (64quest)

B. new version (64quest2)

i will tally all the votes and make a decision july 3rd, 9 PM central time. (i live in texas so i think that's just about right.)

k, at least i know this stuff, so suppose #1 most likely will prevail… :( oh well, i'll put in all the nice little effects i made in #2 into #1 to make it even shinier! at least i already know that the first idea in mind was actually the best, and though i down right HATE making large sprites, i'll continue to work on it, though it might be slow due to my liking of small detailed sprites. i'm not saying that the sprites in #2 are detailed though, so yeah, i think i might as well start integrating both projects into one right now, and i'll follow all of your suggestions to make it even better! though i doubt that it'll be easy. then again, nothings ever easy. what i really should do is change the look of the bar in #1 to something a bit simpler to keep in there and still have enough space in the view to actually see! so yeah, i'll start workin' now.
