Its one of those times where I attempt to progress several projects / learn several languages and don't get much done:
Making things in flash,Nocturnal Engine (MySQL, php, javaScript),Trying to learn japanese,Studying chemistry,Karate katas,Game Maker (Still trying to finish the 3d fight scene for my RPG)and in the meantime buffering QI on my slow connection and watching it intermittently. That saying I have made quite a bit of progress with Nocturnal Engine, today I made:A shoutbox/chatroom thing embedded in the site,A "random blog" button (actually rather hard to implement),and over yesterday and today I finished avatar uploads, BBcode shiz and smileys! =DSo at least that's going quite well… maybe I should just focus on that, I really don't have much of a clue of how to do actionscript….Anyway what do you think of the avatar and banner, and can you guess what I made them with? XDWhat else, ah yes, I laughed for way too long at this:In other news, here is something which I found "Quite Interesting":http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_misconceptions#The_BibleGood afternoon, 64digits.
i went and lost the site adress -_-
Eh… yeah. I like to take on difficult tasks in order to amuse myself.
So far I know:Ici, ni , san , si, go , roku, sichi, hatch, ku , zyuu , konichiwa, sayonara, hai, iee and some other basic vocab as well as karate related shiz like jodan and geri etc. =)I'll link you on msn if you want to have a look.konichiwa!
I'm learning japanese too!! (I *found* some ebooks on the net…)You know more than I do currently, but hopefully I'll catch up (only started yesterday…)sayonara!BTW: Japanese does not seem so difficult . It just has different rules to english and other european languages.I mean it only has two tenses, past and present!Yeah I've heard that the Japanese are very sympathetic and understanding of foreign visitors who can't speak much Japanese because Japanese is quite a simple language; making it harder for the Japanese to learn other languages if you know what I mean.
yeah.
Its pretty much a similar situation for us.We find english easy, and usually fail to learn other languages because of the rules we had to learn. What sources are you using.I find the lonely planet japanese phrasebook quite a useful resource. Also "Japanese is possible" is a good resource too! :DAlso: no multiples D:
In most cases 4 is pronounced 'jon' btw.Retro : I haven't really got seriously in to it yet; I've just been picking things up off my sensei and googled articles but thanks for the suggestion, I'll check them out! =D
Rolf : Really? I've never heard of that. I always though it was "shee", phonetically.- Also, does anyone know why karate senseis use a slightly different set of numbers when teaching?LOL
