'Afternoon, all.
I've been working on this RPG for a while now. I think you'll enjoy having a go of it. One of the things I worked really hard on was the customization element so see what you think.Features:Battle scene (much like pokemon), =Dequip different items which affect your stats,a torch effect demo with advanced lighting, customize the way the game works to your liking, talk to NPCs,use and gain items. And some other stuff.Controls are fully customizable from the menu but the default are:T key : Toggle torch (An effect which will be used in caves and such).Left click / Z - Key : Select menu item.Right click / X - Key : Back one menu item.WASD and mouse position : Make the character walk left, right, towards or away with respect to the mouse.Enter : Visit teh menu!DEMO DOWNLOAD LINK:http://64digits.com/users/VigilantPsyche/West_of_the_Void_-_Tech_Demo.zipScreen shots:And some full size ones:http://64digits.com/users/VigilantPsyche/wotv3.JPGhttp://64digits.com/users/VigilantPsyche/wotv2.JPGhttp://64digits.com/users/VigilantPsyche/wotv1.JPG
Extra Info:
0) If anyone one wants to help with spriting in this project that would be amazing. I'm not sure if it can carry on other wise. (I'm rubbish at most sprites.)1) All of the graphics and code were created by me except for the RPG character's animé style face previews and the dirt texture.Shouldn't the game's name be void of the west, not west of the void?…
Anyways, I'd be glad to help you with the spriting, since I'm stuck with coding in my current game :]Great! Did you have a look at the game? If you like where its going I'd be glad of your help.
About the title, its meant to describe a place which is to the west of a void, not a void in the west. :P Its somewhat inspired by a Japanese author I'm rather fond of.Err… the link is broken :/
That was silly :P. OK i fixed it.
Wtf… it posted itself, again >:/
No it didn't ;)
Oh… :@
I like where the game is going (and I will be glad to help), just the battle menu should be controlled by keyboard only, since moving my hand from the keyboard to the mouse takes up time (which is annoying). Also, the movement is… weird.Anyways, I'm at your service :-)Coolio, do you have msn or should we just work through PMs?
About your points:It is possible to control the battle just with the keyboard. What do you mean by the movement? The mouse relative thing? If it is that then not to fear because I'm working on a relative/absolute movement option. :DWell… I lost my MSN password, and conversating through PMs is just lame. Do you have Skype? Or should I create a new MSN?
