I was thinking, and I decided it would be cool to make a game like Metroid, as in an adventure platformer. You'd be able to get upgrades and all that, and it'd be a huge world to explore with lots of secrets that aren't necessary but help. I also thought it would be cool to locate it on the moon, so you could get like a jet pack and stuff. Here's the story I've got so far:
It's the year 2045, and the top secret U.S. project to create a space station on the moon has been completed. However, intelligence tells us that other life forms have likely invaded the space station. You, (insert name here), are being sent to Space Station X45 to eliminate the disturbance before information leaks to the rest of the world of our lunar existence. The job must be done stealthily, accurately, and most importantly, quickly. You will be equipped with the latest space-age technologies, and our scientists on X45 have reported in some new creations aswell. Find them, as they will assist you in your task. It's a work in progress, but I like it. What do you think?
Sounds cool.
It sounds good. The real question is, can you complete it? Games like this are really great, but they're a lot of work, which is why there are so few.
