Gamestop has just detailed their instore PS3 pre-orders. They expected, because of the extreme shortage, that there would only be 8 consoles per store, 16 if there was a big store. In order to preorder, you would have to pay 100 dollars in trade-ins, cash, check, or credit card. (A little questionable about the credit card though) That really must suck for the die-hard Sony fans that vowed to get a PS3 at launch day. That is definitely not going to be the same case for Wii. Nintendo has already reported that 2 million Wii units are ready for sale. If 4 million were headed to the US, that means each store would get approximately 80 Wii systems, 160 if it is possible. I, however, am not getting a PS3, so I really am not worried. Though I am watching very carefully about Wii Pre-orders. I have made sure that I will pre-order one somehow and get it at launch day.
Get a PC instead.
I personally agree with what mutated said, not about Paris Hilton, but about the gameplay over grapcics part. There are games on the Wii that look very fun. Twilight Princess, Metroid Prime 3, and Super Mario Galaxy look really fun in my opinion. I won't get a PS3 only because of the Price Point. If it was as much as the Wii, I might have gotten it. I don't exactly want a XBOX360 because I am not too interested in many of the games that are on it. The main reason I am sticking with the Wii is because of its controller. I think playing games with its controller will be fun.
