Meh. Bump?
I figure the scary Triforce that got tagged has been there long enough. XD *kind of just expects to be an example of how NOT to do things anymore*I've been slowly recovering bits of what was lost in HP, the greatest pains of which are the status screen and the time-consuming attack sprite for Zenith that, honestly, may never have been finished in the first place. In any case, both are slowly being brought back, I have to re-revise the status-equipment relations to something useful and change up the Save script once again (I should really comment that thing so I can find stuff, neh?), and then I can get what I've made first priority done: attacking in battle. It's long overdue, as anyone watching this could tell you. In fact, anyone watching this would say the whole thing's long overdue, but I'm horribly picky about how things end up and as such that and my laziness combine to make me a very slow worker. XDBut, yes, HP is moving again. I've been revising some songs (including the old Cliffs MIDI that's about two or three years old now. :x I told ya, I'm a slow worker. Then again, the original HP Engine was scrapped a couple years back and for good reason - it was extremely buggy and looked poo), got one of the sprites for overworld monsters done, and added some things to the first test map that, while no totally functional, at least make it slightly more interesting to walk around. >.>Soooo… I need to get that attack sprite going. After fighting works, I can focus on inventory adjustment so I can get chests and what not working, and all the while I've been using the boring lecture time at school to work on tile sets (with some experimentation, I'm getting some neat stuff… At least, every attempt at one is proving an improvement, so that's good), which at this point are scarce, but I've started a forest and some other one I've not touched in a good while. It comes along faster than sprite editing, as I just… really hate doing pixel work on the laptop. D: Comes from not having room for a real mouse. :x So it's crappy tablet mouse or mouse pad. Tablets themselves were not meant for pixeling one dot at a time. Things are far too finicky.Besides that, I've been writing a book, waiting for GM 7 (32 bit sprites? I'm all for that, though I worry it''ll be a lot slower than it should be. Then again, it's not like I haven't worked around GM's speed issues before… In any case, anyone else pumped for this? You're probably all playing with the beta… but I myself shall wait for the final. Mostly because there's not much new to experiment with that I'm interested in.), and completely ignoring GMG. I've found fellow GM users tend to hate my guts these days, so that can join my lit of interests where I don't get along with others interested in it. Artists and game designers. You're such a fickle bunch. (On that note, please don't see my header to grade my artistic talent. >.> 'Twas a five minute shot to get rid of the defaults. Who wants defaults? I'll maybe make a real one someday… Maybe.)In any case, GMG seems to be a place I'd never be interested in these days, anyway. Back when there was about 5% of the member count it has now, it was a nice place. Now, it's overrun with attitude and everyone trying to get n everyone's nerves and in everyone's heads. Also. the server is so slow that it's slower for me now on DSL than it was way back when on dial-up. I think it may be time to upgrade the ol' bandwidth, doods. D:[/rant]
A fine long ramble, Mr Catman! It looks like you have the fine joy of rebuilding something. Who knows how many times I've had to redo things…
