Well, this is the project I loosely referred to in my last cryptic mound of words. This one's still early on, but it's a joint effort and so far hasn't been as riddled with insane hurdles and defects as the HP engine has been.
As you can pretty much tell, it's a blatant Smash Bros. rip-off, and these screens are early on - so much so that Zeph doesn't have an actual stats thing on there yet, and the one that is there is just a stand-in for what will ultimately be something that like… works, hopefully. This is the only stage, presently, with the two test fighters up and running about. Kattie has a couple sprites, and Jon's at work touching up Zeph's parts. We're both cheating.I'm proud of the camera. I'm sad about how long it took me to figure out how to do it, but so happy it's there now. it doesn't use views, so I can have everything zoom in and out, and pan all over, and your character icons, damage and all that will stay put and at the right size.Otherwise, basic movement is down, and we're still in concepts. Go here and you can get a "confirmed" character list, a well as a couple of the songs I've done up for the game.btw, I'm still wondering how dependable online would be with this. :/ I want to do it, but… I still need to go through the tutorial on the matter, never mind try and crank it out with something this complicated. Give it time, I guess…
