Progress and Problems

Let me start off by saying art block sucks. Just to get that bit out of my system.

"Project Fireworks," as I shall presently refer to it (We kinda have a name…), is underway, with a team of myself, moki and Joshyboy. JB has handled most of the particles - and I've learned a lot about coding the buggers from editing what he's done in my fine-tuning tweaker manner. Two days work presents us with merely the company opening, not even a title screen… but man, that opening is sexeh.

I hope really to have some basic concept art from Liz that doesn't get wiped out of my recieved files by whatever is plagueing MSN on my laptop that possesses it to sporaticly do so. Then again, that was with some boring old version of Messenger, and it's quit doing since Live just… decided it wanted to work. (Don't get that, either…) So I'll have to harass her so I can get the actual title started and possibly done.

I myself hope to get a logo done today. JB said he was working on a menu, but, uh… anyone's that followed me for any decent amount of time probably realises I obsess over menus and I can only hope his work isn't for naught. But I know myself better and I'll go overboard and make like the joygasm menu of bliss or something. I tend to.

It's about as far as half my projects get. XD

Speaking of my projects, HamstaPowah is having a hiccup of sorts. Having obtained a laptop, I was hoping to make it widescreen-compatable, but have such be an option. I've gotten to a point where it draws wide-screen, the view thinks it's wide screen… but it's only drawing 800x600 stretched to fit the 960x600 space, and I've no idea how to make the views realise they have a larger canvas to draw on. Any ideas?

I don't mean to sound like a killjoy, but I've found that the projects I stop working on are usually also the ones I work on the intro before the game. [:P]

True enough. But it's hard to work on the game when you've just got a basic concept with no visual representation and the character designs aren't ready yet. XD 'Sides, titles and stuff are easy poo and I'm a sucker for presentation. Just go look at Candeh Chaos… it's like a very fancy Kill the Clown… Though I'd like to think it's a lot more fun than Kill the Clown as mine actually took some decent amounts of work and has more to it than just… click the junx.
