So, I finally managed to come up with a design for a ship, based on the Su47. After tinkering with the design in MSPaint, I came up with this modification - different kind of wing span, slightly altered style of the body, and the other set of wings were moved much farther up. The antenna thingy is also changed a bit.

That was the best I could think of. With a sprite size like this (maybe a hint larger if neccesary), does anyone have any better designs? It's supposed to be semi-futuristic (basically a decade or two ahead of our current level of tech). Nothing incredibly different but nothing too similar to what we have now. LOL

Interesting-lookin' plane, but I'm not sure how you want to modify the shape. :/

I had no specific idea - just wanted something like it, but a bit different. This is what I managed to make. MSPaint and Game Maker FTW.

@Cyrus I actually had to redo it - the first sprite was wayyy too small for the screen size (800x450) so I sliced up the sprite, re-connected the lines, filled in the color and re-shaded. I think it turned out decently overall.

Still I feel like there's other changes I could make… And I dunno..

damn if one of your sprites looks that good you should make a lot more. just my opinion.

I've done more sprites… a while back. Just check my dA.

To me, sprites is just more art. You don't need to be a… "specialist" with sprites.

I never considered myself having to learn spriting and crap. I just did whatever, took critique and changed a pixel or two if it looked good. I don't consider that a skill set - I just consider that art with different tools. Instead of a paper/pen, you have a few pixels and some blocks to arrange just right. Sorta.
