Top 3 Games (In no particular order…):
Kizuna: The Girl Who Saved ChristmasDidn't notice much of a difference between the two versions of the game. Overall for a GM game it was pretty neat in 3D. Simple concept. Could have used a hit SFX for hitting enemies. Perhaps a tiny effect here or there. The music ended up being a tad monotonous after a while, and I ended up getting lost.Snowball CommanderSeems to be the closest to a complete game. Simple idea, basic clone but overall it worked nicely, even with white-on-black. I enjoyed it.Super Snowball FightersSimple game. Colors were a tad on the harsh side for me in some parts… In some parts you could have bolded text to get around this (even quite a few NES games had harsh clashing pallets) but otherwise it was pretty good. Music was nice. A tad on the easy side, though.Other notable games:Frozen was interesting but I couldn't figure too much out.. Saw a comment that gave me the info on what to do.. Interesting enough. But a tad overly vague.Overall the others didn't have much other significance. They either seemed WAY too undeveloped to have been posted (no offense. I didn't even think I'd have something worth playing submitted), or I didn't fully understand the gameplay. And finally… The Fall of SarentaThe game overall was pretty nice. It's a shame it's not one of the entries - I'd have definitely put this in my top 3 games. The one gripe I had was that it was a bullet hell (albeit a variety that made me actually not mind it nearly as much as I usually do), and it was far tougher to dodge than any normal bullet hell game I've played. No lives to lose made it a hint more enjoyable - and the fact that the boss regenerates during your recovery period is a nice touch/consequence. IMO a fair balance given the difficulty.
