Alas, spring break is over. No more freedom, no more fresh air, no more good times…

Actually, my "break" was hard work. My mother decided that we would use this opportunity to do house projects, and we did so with gusto (or at least she had gusto).

We rotated out summer clothes for winter clothes, which doesn't sound like a big deal, but it took most of the week for a family of eleven. (One wall of our garage is taken up by plastic totes stacked 4-5 high, all full of clothes and neatly labeled.) We helped some older friends move into their new house and cleaned our house. We started painting but didn't have time to finish anything.

Dad went to an investment/stock class for the first three days of the week, and Mom had us boys move all of our numerous table games from the laundry room ceiling shelves to a closet upstairs. This was no small undertaking, as our games make a pile about 4 feet around and 2 feet tall, and we had to dust them all and repair any damaged boxes.

I finally got my computer desk cleaned up after my brother Isaac used it, and got some of our many family snapshots filed away properly. Ari_aaron and I also got the karma system's security beefed up.

School starts again tomorrow, so I can finally have a rest.
