Ack! Wheeze! I am suffering from a terrible condition! I only have 256MB of RAM. The other 1G is in the mail, being RMA'ed. It is scheduled to arrive next Tuesday. To help alleviate the pain, I have turned off XP's Fisher Price interface, cursor shadows, fading menus, ect. Everything but animated minimize/maximize.
I have some very nice relatives who seem to spend a great deal of time at yard sales. They buy up all the roller blades they can find and ship them to our family. My younger siblings had been playing with them for a while, but I hadn't paid much attention because none of them were big enough for me.Then, a couple days ago, a we got another box from them, and it had several large pairs of roller blades. I promptly found a pair and tried them out. Now, about 5 years ago, before we moved, I used to take my roller blades to school and practice in the parking lot. I got pretty good, but I quickly discovered that five years is plenty of time to forget.I wobbled around for a while, gradually speeding up. I was not encouraged to find that this set of used blades didn't have any brakes. I have only crashed once so far; I looked back and the twisting caused me to turn into a wet gutter. So now I am sore and slightly injured, but I can successfully follow the curves of the sidewalk and am greatly enjoying the nice weather. There isn't much other news to tell, as my productivity is axed until that RAM arrives. I have more photos, but I don't want to bother with them right now. Maybe I will post them tomorrow.
Oh boo freaking hoo… I only have 256MB of RAM on my laptop.
Running what OS? I have no trouble running Kubuntu with 256MB, but XP croaks if I open more than 2 windows at a time.
Use the t-break man. Either that or your face'll start looking like break pads.
And yay, fellow linux person.I would use Linux if I didn't have an ATI Radeon Xpress 200. No OpenGL and no DirectX make biggoron a dull rock-eater.
256mb RAM? Try 64mb!
Rob, I remember C&C95 on the blazing power or 32MB, which was marvelous after 16MB. [:D]
