A friend of mine and yours truly have compiled a list of The Top Video Game Weapons of All Time. At the end of the list an added weapon that we forgot about until after we sorted out all of the weapons (think of it as a Honorary Mention). Also, these are purely out of our opinion, so please do NOT flame us. If you have another weapon that we left out, please tell us, not yell at us. So here we go:

1) Gravity Gun - Half Life 2 - Why it Rules: Pick up just about anything you can find and send it flying at your enemies.

2) Spike Grenade - Halo 3 - Why it Rules: This grenade not only sticks to ANYTHING, but when it explodes it sends pieces of hot, molten metal flying through the air.

3) Chainsaws - Gears of War, Doom, many more - Why they Rule: Even the thought of sticking a chainsaw into some alien and then turning it on is one that all gamers should smile about (that sounded a lot more gruesome than I wanted it to…)

4) Dark Matter Gun - Quake 4 - Why it Rules: This weapon shoots a giant ball of Dark Matter at your enemies, taking out anything it its path.

5) Combat Shotguns - F.E.A.R., Quake 4, many more - Why they Rule: Not as stimulating as some of the other weapons, Combat Shotguns are fun just for the fact that they are overpowered killing machines.

6) Type 7 Particle Weapon - F.E.A.R. - Why it Rules: This sniper-like weapon shoots a blue beam of energy at your opponents, instantly deep-frying them and sending a skeleton flying backwards through the air.

7) Plates and CDs - Dead Rising - Why they Rule: It's always fun to throw plates and CDs…

8) Banana Peel - Mario Kart games - Why it Rules: One of the classics, this is the ultimate way for getting an edge on your racing opponents.

9) Lightning Spells - Oblivion - Why they Rule: Anything that causes Havok to spaz out is fun, but this cool lightning effect just makes it all the more fun.

10) Giant Spear - 3D game in the works created by me - Why it Rules: It's funny to see people running around with giant spears.<b>Mod edit:</b> Landshark Gun - Armed and Dangerous - The Land Shark gun fires a baby 'Land Shark' into the ground when triggered, a system of hormone treatments and cattle prods growing it to full size in seconds. The shark proceeds to burst out of the ground, eating any enemies in the vicinity. And yes, we are talking about Jaws.
