A WIP is beating me to it right now. =
And chigga is a racial slur. =P@Crane Games: I think you mean the "5.3 season." There was no 6.3 :-p
Does anyone visit the GMC forum anymore?I started with 4.
I started with GM4.
FGFK… I SO remember that.
"Fun Games for Kids" or something. You and your picture of your gf in your signature at ezBoard….. Your RTS game…. er…. yeah, I'm old skool. I totally remember this screen name and avatar. You also had a variation on this avatar now, it was a clear sphere with more "tropical" colors.Yahhh i remember that avatar. I also had a 2d one i used for quite awhile.
Haha my rts game. I believe it was the first rts game developed in gm… too bad i don't get any credit for it cuz i never finished the whole thing.I started with GM3, but only for like a week. GM4 was released very soon after I began but I didn't really notice any difference as I was a mere newbie. I only got seriously involved once GM5 was released with the far more handy event system (remember all those menus?). I began GML coding at the turn of GM5 and never looked back. I guess I've been creating more and more advanced stuff since with code, including stuff that has been rather revolutionary - see my surface DT engine - and spawned many imitations, some of which are actually better.
I'm proud of what the minority of hard-working expert users have created, from advanced lighting to proper physics in 2 and 3 dimensions. However, I was significantly disappointed in the move to Yoyo Games as I felt it has eliminated or damaged GM's "indie" appeal. For a start, Yoyo has only imitated 64D and conbined it with other website concepts. You may think that this is a good thing to have it all in the same place, but equally, it means that we all become dependant on Yoyo to perform and not putting the future of the community directly in the hands of the community. That's my opinion on the progression of GM. Feel free to flame me =PUm, gm6. I think I quit gm :P
Since Gm5.3a, a few months before gm6 came out.
GM6.1. Two years ago. I remember that avvy, too.
