Why does US suck...

Posted by chiggerfruit on June 12, 2006, 9:42 p.m.

…especially in the world cup. Come on… 3-0 loss to Czech?? Sure they're ranked 2nd but still… that was horrible performance… That Joga Bonita commercial is right, nobody looks forward to playing America.

Anyways, anybody else following the world cup? I'm gonna try to watch all the games on every day. I can't see why US is the only country that isn't mad about soccer like everybody else. Oh well that's my view. Anybody pulling for a certain country? I'm partial to US only cuz of patriotism, but other than that, i don't really have a favorite. Can't wait for Ronaldhino and the Brazilians play, should be pretty exciting.

I hate everything about soccer, but I heard that Japan blew it against… uh, some really bad team. I guess they allowed three goals in 6 minutes or something like that. I'll stick with baseball (Go Red Sox!)

this kinda helps my point about US and lack of soccer enthusiasm… oh well can't do anything about it

It's not a lack of enthusiasm… It's the level of despise.

The reason why the U.S. doesn't like football is because they're isolationist. They cannot absorb other people's ideas…

Political complaints aside, the U.S. cannot compete in any worldwide team-based sport (apart from basketball, but not many people play that internationally). I'm not sure why, their individual athletes are really good but it seems they cannot communicate effeciently.

yah, even with basketball. when we decided to pull out some players off the streets rather than NBA players, we finally won something. i have no clue why we changed back

Political agenda? Who knows how far George Dubya's racist fingers extend.
