<b>Brand New Guitar - GB D-5 BCE</b><div style="padding-left:5px;border-left:1px solid #DDDDDD;overflow:auto;height:100px;">Hey everybody, finally got a new guitar and it's a beeuut. It's an acoustic-electric guitar made by Greg Bennett of Samick guitars. Sure it's not a mainstream brand but, it's still a really good instrument for what it's worth. I got it for around $300, then another $80 for a hard case, picks, extra strings, etc. Here's some info about it. It's a solid top dreadnought cutaway. I originally wanted a jumbo, but i realized dreadnoughts provide more bass. It's an a-e so i can connect it to an amp. It's also go built in 4 band eq and a tuner. The top is made of a shiny solid sitka spruce, the sides and back are also shiny and come in a tiger striped like wine red mahogany. The fretboard itself is made of rosewood, probably indian.I can't belive with such quality woods that it was only sold for around 300 bucks. I was expecting more around 500+ dollars for this one. But hell i don't mind. The image to the left isn't the exact same guitar, the only difference is the sides are a much darker redder color with stripes and the EQ/Tuner is slightly different.</div><b>Life and Chicks</b><div style="padding-left:5px;border-left:1px solid #DDDDDD;overflow:auto;height:100px;">I just told this reaaally hot chick that i liked her, but she's still making up her mind. Can't really talk to her since she's gone to lake placid for the time being, but i can wait. If she says yes, this'll probably be my 3rd gf for the summer.Hmm.. summer's almost over… back to school. Can't wait to see my schedule and meet all my friends again.Maybe i'll get a job this year with gigs and stuff for cafe's or clubs. Idk, we'll see.</div><b>Other News</b><div style="padding-left:5px;border-left:1px solid #DDDDDD;overflow:auto;">Pluto isn't a planet anymore… that's kinda sad…Looks like we're only down to 8 planets now.. Good, that's one less thing i have to remember!</div></td></table>
OK, the complete list of dwarf planets in the system is Ceres, Charon, Pluto, and XENA: WARRIOR PRINCESS!
American music sells it for 1400 bucks for some odd reason. Holy crap thats an awesome deal I got. I never actually realized the value
WAAAAaIIIT. Somethings wrong. If my friend got it for $390 everyday, then why would the American music guys sell it for 1400. I'm more inclined to believe the 390 than 1400. It's still a pretty good deal though.
It's probably the brand. If it's a larivee, then it's the 1k, but i doubt that's it. Look at the headstock or the paper in the inside of your guitar.
Ya your right. It's a Martin DX1. The Larivee paper got put in by the old owner. It's STILL an awesome deal.
Yah that is pretty good, it's a martin too so it's gotta be pretty good. I wonder why the owner put in a larivee paper… More people know about Martin guitars than Larivee's.
What exactly is Micarta anyways? I'm guessing it's atype of ebony or something… I prefer rosewood, cuz rosewood'll mold to your playing style over time.Phenolic thermoset material. but ya your assumption is pretty much the english way of saying it
With the pluto thing, has anyone heard the kiddie shcool thing to help learn planets? (MVEMJSUNP - Mercury, Venus… - My very easy method just speeds up naming planets.) take off the planets and you have what is now our solar system. rewrite the schoolbooks. :p And I was also thinking, in like 10-20 years time we could be saying to our kids when they are learning the planets that there was originally a tiny planet past neptune called pluto, made of solid ice, and only the size of america. but then they discovered it wasnt a planet :p tough shit.
