Hey…so…new person here… *wave*
Background: Programmer, game designer, artist, writer, composer, performer, and scientist, among other things. Seriously? Well…yes. Began programming with Game Maker 4.3 after messing around with things like Turtle and Peter for a year or two. Still using Game Maker fairly frequently, but I also use 3D stuffs like Blender and Ogre3D with C++ now. Web programming experience includes HTML, some CSS, and most recently PHP. Having played video games from an early age, game design wasn't such a far stretch - I started designing games before I could program, but it really took off after I picked up one of Chris Crawford's books. Now I design/program a video game every time I get a literary-based "creative assignment". Eheheh. As an artist, I'm best with pencil and paper, though I've done most other traditional mediums (watercolor, oils, acrylics, ink, colored pencil, charcoal, etc.). Filled too many sketchbooks/notebooks to count (I think the total might be over 10 or so now). I draw graphic-novel/comic pages from time to time. Recently tried drawing with a mouse in GIMP, and it turned out decent. I use Blender for making 3D models (mostly low poly, for game purposes). Writing…well, short stories mostly. They're decent. Not what I'd consider publish-able yet though. I mostly compose music for game projects at the moment. Between practicing piano and violin (for occasional solo and group performances), I get to make up stuff and then scribble it on staff paper. It's fun. :DScience is…well, my career, I suppose you could say. Computer science and/or physics, if you haven't guessed yet. That's about the summary of my life so far. Besides, y'know, the born and died bits. Not that last part though. 'Cause then I would be a zombie. Or a ghost. And dead people can't type. Right? …right? O_o
Yay zombies!
Hai! Welcome to 64digits. Please leave your sanity in the little red box by the door, don't feed ChIkEn, and praise the almighty potfrog.
Interesting first blog, you'll fit in just fine.Sanity?
Eh, the zombie rabbit in my backyard must've ate it. Good to know I won't need it here. :)I'm happy as long as it doesn't eat my hands. Because then I would have to type with my nose. Which is sort of difficult.Hi! Feel free to show off some of your stuff. I mean, art. Yeah.
Hi again. I would love to see some of your stuff too :D
Sure, I'll see about submitting a few things once I get over to Windows (if I'm lucky, in a few hours…).
