So, about this competition… I plan on using the title '8-Bit Laser Rave'. I don't think I will finish it though because I am working on another game for another competition where the prize for first place is $200.
First off, 8-Bit Laser Rave is of course going to be an 8-Bit game, with Wario Ware type mini games in it. So it starts off with you and your buddy walking down the street to this crazy rave you were invited to.Friend: Holy geez, I sure do love playing Contra! You: Yeah me too, friend! But when we get back after this rave, can we play some Tetris?Friend: Yeah, for sure! That would be totally radical! But first, take this.<Friend hands you a pill.>You: Oh golly! I thought I would never be cool; but now, with drugs, I can be!<Both you and your friend take the pills.><Enter the rave party.>You: Dude, I totally don't feel any-OH MY FUCKING GOD!<You transform into this tiny 8-Bit character.>And then, you are just tripping balls. Lasers freak you the fuck out, so you are trying to dodge them at all costs, but when they do hit you, you have to play a short skill testing mini game. And you keep dodging lasers and playing mini games until your high wears off or you die. I don't have a screenshot or anything for you because frankly, I really haven't done anything.Secondly, the other competition is only two weeks long and the theme is Solar Energy. So, I'm making this game where you play as this little dude running around carrying a solar panel above his head, trying to catch as many sun rays as possible. The solar panel charges above your big-ass laser cannon that protects your castle (or whatever) from the incoming demons/flying monkeys/space ships. Anyways, the enemies fly towards your castle/base while you are charging up your laser cannon. If they reach the base before you can charge up your laser cannon you lose. And so these flying enemies keep flying at you wave after wave until you finally lose or whatever.I do have a screenshot for this. It doesn't look great, but that's because I'm working very quickly. And lastly, this site called CrySet Games invited me to post my game there. So I did, and apparently you earn a portion of the money from the advertisements when people play your game. Sounds like a pretty sweet deal. You guys should check it out.CLICK HERE, PLAY A GAME, HELP ME EARN MONEY(Preferably play Plactoid.)Competitions and Easy Money

Edit: I also don't see where they're marketing to players. It seems like they spend all their efforts marketing to devs.
