Bear in mind, I'm intending to enter as well and you can't be involved in two entries. You're going to have to make a way better offer than 5% for me to drop out. Being the arrogant man I am, I reckon with what I've got I can hit 2nd place and the prize for that is 25% of 1st place. Given that I'm taking on less risk (and effort) by participating in your entry, 20% seems reasonable.
According to 1013Games there's 90+ man hours going into his game every week. For that reason his offer of 5% is a fair one for a basic soundtrack, but as Juju points out there are other factors.

If the game goes commercial with the music we can negotiate something for sure :) If we win a monetary prize in the compo… say 5% of the winnings?
