So, We're mostly finished with the carport and I have some time now to get back on my game.
I've almost fully completed the intro movie. (it's just lacking some music and maybe some sound.) It's really great!I'm still designing/programming enemys. I want to have a nice wide varity and I hope to have between 10 or 15 waves in the final game. Which leads to my question below.Question: Should the game end after the final wave or should it keep going forever until you die (more enemys + they're faster)?I have about 10 to 15 enemys plained at the moment and they can come at you in a number of different ways. I still haven't even thought about the power-ups that will come floating by. Once I get a few more enemys and add some sounds I will release a demo. (thats not a promise only what I will mostlikely do)-Elmernite
For optimal replay value, maybe make a few difficulty settings leading up to a very hard version of you waves. It would take a long time to beat and the player would have a goal in mind (as opposed to simply playing for as long as possible). However, it wouldn't be that hard to make a survival mode where the enemies get hard fast. That would be great fun, and can't wait to see the movie. My entire band is in town for a month so I better pratice guitar.
tylerthemilerThe point of the game will be highscores though. Thats why I'm leaning towards going forever.
-ElmerniteYou could make two: Story Mode, and Endless mode. :)
Would work, except it really wouldn't be much of a story mode.
-ElmerniteHave you progressed lately??
No, I was touching up a minigame called Bob the Blob that should be posted today or tommorrow.
Or you can go find it on the gmc and post there.-Elmernite
