Since I love writing short news entries, I figured I might as well write a blog entry wihle I'm in the mood to write soemthing short.

(I didn't write a new news entry, but I feel like it.)

I need to get my gm key from Canadonian, then I can make my graphing program a LOT easiser on the cpu.

Also, I got invited to a birthday party. When was the last time any of YOU invited me to your birthday party? Never, that's when.

I HATE YOU ALL.

Baby sitters make a lot of money for something so simple.

I mean seriously, they make like 20 bucks an hour, for feeding a kid, and cleaning up after it.

That's about as much as a maid and a chef make COMBINED/hour, and they have to constantly clean up/cook.

Most of the baby sitter's time is spent watching TV or playing games with the kid, or…Something. I don't really know.

I've only baby sat like three times in my life.

I'm really, really horrible with kids.

"I want to play a game!"

"Okay! Let's play hide and go fuck yourself. ^_^"

It's too hot to write any more. (It's like 30 degrees celcius…That's too hot for Canada!:( )

I was looking for a book report on shakespeare–I mean, I was "researching" on of shakespeare's plays on the internet one time, a while ago. And I came across this really awesome comment in a forum:

"Shakespeare created his plays to entertain, not to ponder."

I was like…Wow. That's so true. So I got to thinking…Sure Shakespeare wrote good plays, with good examples of…Whatever the hell they're teaching me in english. But I think it's pretty stupid to have to answer questions like "What was Romeo's 'hidden' thought in this paragraph", or "Why does Juliet whisper a lot in this chapter?"

Typical answer: I DON'T KNOW, AND I DON'T CARE.

And I don't think Shakespeare wanted you to care either.

Well, yeah, he did, but he didn't expect it to become the basis of english in every freakin' school in over 30 english speaking countries. Well, sure, if he was still alive he'd be thrilled. Imagine you wrote some physics engine, and compressed it to four lines of code…Wouldn't it be awesome if it was used in every C++ speaking school?

k, here, let's compare Shakespeare's plays, to Halflife 2:

Shakespeare's plays: They entertain right? Blood flowing in the streets, people being called wretched cows…Yeah, the makings of a good play/movie.

HL2: Damn good game. Fun. Violent. Incredible graphics. Incredible-er physics engine.

Well, in the future, people are going to be dissecting the HL2 engine, and teaching it to the uber-blessed kids of the future.

The same goes for shakespeare's stuff. People thought his plays were damn good. And so, in the future, they disected his plays, and taught the kids of the future techinques and stuff with it.

Right now, there's not many people out there who care how HL2 was coded. I only know like 4 people (myself included) who are actualy like "Holy fuck! How would you program it to do that, and yet, run so smoothly?!"

Everyone else is like "Wow, cool graphics. Fun game. w00t I blew something up!"

I'm not saying that's bad or anything. It means they're enjoying the game, and that's what it was designed to do. Just like Shakespeare's plays.

k, now get this. The physics engine is four lines of code. FOUR FUCKING LINES OF CODE. FOR THE WHOLE FUCKING WORLD'S PHYSICS.

"So what. Shakespear has seven hundred and thirty five different pronouns in one of his plays".

Few people care that the physics engine of HL2 is four lines of code.

Few people care that Shakespeare has a billion hidden reasons in one little paragraph of conversation.

They're both entertaining, and they do their job well. (HL2 anyway. Shakespeare isn't all that interesting to a 14 year old boy.)

k, so the point of this:

HALF LIFE 2 FUCKING PWNS SHAKESPEARE.

And the code for hl2 is more interesting as well.

Wasn't that interesting? Once I start school, those feelings of how useless creativity is will all come rushing back.
