acid suggested that 64D make t-shirts and have people wear them to promote the site. He said we should use this as a way to generate money, but didn't explicitly say to sell the shirts, so I'm not sure how this would help make money.
But that's why he's the marketing genius, and I'm just the guy who keeps spelling genius as genious.Anyway, this is totally not going to happen, but I think a solid coloured crimson 64D logo (we don't really have an official one) would look cool on the front of a black t-shirt. And on the back, written across the upper back in white text, would just be some slogan. There could be a handful of different shirts with different slogans."Driven by lazyness""Member ID #2""Hand coded in front of a live audience"And so on. Basically a collection of "64D memes" (I just heard you grind your teeth and cringe) and sub-banner text (I don't know what it's called). The idea of 64D apparel has been around for like 8 years, but I thought I'd bring this idea up, to see if anyone would actually be interested in a shirt from 64D (I will not make one, but my ego will feel good), and what you think would be cool.
We could make custom shirts for each user, with a barcode on the back for your member id.
Yeah. I agree that red on white would be much better. Besides, it matches the site. When I think of the logo of 64 digits, I think of a giant 64 on a white background.
Not that I'd be able to buy one…nope. nope nope nope.
now i gotta draw out some funky designs and characters to put on these shirts. DAMMIT FSX, YOU'RE MAKING ME WANT TO BE CREATIVE!so, who wants to be personified onto a t-shirt? i'll make you into a… superhero or something, idk lol.Suddenly, I have forgotten every meme this site has ever produced.
We should have acid throw them in for a spin cycle before shipping them out. Then we can claim that they are acid-washed :D
The 64D top hats are about six years overdue now. Why stop at t-shirts?
Zazzle shirts are higher quality than Cafepress as far as I know, but they cost more. I made shirts on Zazzle and was quite pleased with the results: they stain the cloth instead of using that plasticky decal crap that crumbles after two trips to the washer.
In a perfect world it'd come in a red box.
OOHOOHWe should do a game collab and call it "The Red Box."Yes.And it'd be mind-blitheringly insane.BECAUSE WE'D ALL BE BOXYeah, sure.
That's a great idea.*cough*
