So we all know about the prospective comic competition, right? Well, I had an idea: how about a bit of a challenge to warm us all up? Something small-scale, to get everyone who's interested producing something.
The idea is this: we all go get a story from They Fight Crime (as in, we each roll our own scenario). Your job isn't to write a whole story on this premise - it's to draw a single page of it. The page can be any part of the story, and doesn't have to contain the whole story - the idea here is the present a single page that implies the rest of the story. This means we'll all have similar concepts, which lets us see a whole bunch of takes on (fundamentally) the same story. I don't think there'll be prizes for this (or even necessarily a winner; We would need a judge to decide that). In terms of time frame, I'm thinking this'll be short - maybe two days, near the end of the month. Is anyone interested?Current Entrants:FlashbackKilinSMPCyrusRobertoMMORPGguyJuurianChi
The one thing I'm a little fuzzy on is whether we'll have the same theme or all roll different ones.
I think this is a good idea, and might help people realize a story idea they've always wanted to make. My best stories start from experiments, so I'm in.EDIT:We all roll different ones - and you can keep rolling until you get something you like.
End of the month? That's when my semester ends, so sure.
This sounds like fun and I kind of have an idea for it already, but I won't be able to do it at the end of the month, so maybe?…
Sounds Brilliant, count Chi(Me) in.
Updated the blog with current contestants (anyone who actually said they were in in their comments). If you want in, just say so.
