New iPod, 80 GB

Posted by foslock on Oct. 18, 2006, 8:29 p.m.

I just got a new GB iPod for my 16th birthday (yay me) and it's pretty awesome! It can hold around 20,000 songs and the battery life is the best out of all the ipods.

What I was worried about was the size but since I have an old B&W 20 GB to compare, even though the 80 GB is 4x the amount of HD space, it is slightly smaller than the 20 GB.

Off Topic: What's with everyone using the usertag all of the sudden, it's kinda getting really annoying. There are some good funny or serious uses for it, but it's in the last like 10 most recent blogs. Too many.

I also got a really cool suede sport jacket because I needed something stylish to go along with my suit. Another interesting gift was a binary clock, which I learned how to read fairly quickly. Oh, and I think I finally have enough money to get a new computer for my dad's house to replace this old iMac. Sorry apple, your products don't last forever. But this iPod is really sweet.

Thanks for caring,

80GB!? That's twice the size of my PC, and I still have half of THAT with my OS, my games, my videos, my pictures AND my music. 80GB on a media player? That just crazy. Not that I have a problem with it, I just want one, that's all. :P

80GB!? Well. Seeing as I have a 180GB Hard Drive, and have used a little over 10GB in 1 year, I would have to say the having an 80GB MP3 is Kr@Ziiiii! (in a bad way)

Who the hell needs eighty gigs of music storage space?

Me.

In fact, 80GB won't be enough for me, pretty soon.

I have 66.5GB of music, and am constantly downloading more. And if you're curious, I do in fact listen to it all. I listen to music 24/7, so I need tons of bands to keep any from going sour.

Ya, I'm with Melee and I have a TON of music. Actually legal. And the battery life for songs like around 24 hours while the video is 6.5, a vast improvment over the old iPods.

About the Zune… it is officially better than the ipod, but I was really looking for space, not technology. My 20 GB I filled up really fast and an extra 10 GB wouldn't really do much more.

I will use it for music (probably 1/3), videos (1/3), and file backup (1/3).

I have an 80 GB Hard drive on my computer and I have maxed out. I have like… MAYBE 8 games installed plus my music and pictures. If anyone can have a computer with games/videos/music/photos/all your GM games in under 40 GB… you need a prize.
