Background Request

I am no good at making backgrounds, so I have a request. I need a 400x450 background. It needs to be wintery, but not a picture, such as mountains, etc. Right now, I have a simple gradient, which is hopefully temporary. I REALLY REALLY need a decent background. You will receive credit.

I have 23 friends o_0 I need more!

Is anyone else making a game for the Yoyogames competition? There don't seem to be as many people as I thought there would be.

I hope I can finish mine in time! I still have a lot to do, and not many more ideas, SINCE MY GAME IS STILL IN THE QUEUE! Here it is for download,

since it still hasn't been accepted

I still have some open spots on the wall! Remember, one person can use up to three spots. The blocks can contain anything that represents you, such as an avatar or a game/example you have made.

I think one spot per-person is a better idea.

failwall is still a ripoff of the quilt

@ben - There aren't enough people submitting to do that, besides, no one has done more than one anyways.

@Arcalyth - Consider it a tradition :). Hobo isn't active anymore anyways.

Have you considered the vast possibilities of coding your background?

At least make it annual then, if it's going to be a "tradition"

and traditions can't be started by newbies

@serprex - I don't see how you could code a good background. I don't mean a four color gradient.

Er,I mean more than a 4color gradient. I mean taking code and using primitives and stuff. But then again, most don't prefer that style. But if you want help with a background and decided to deal with the likes of me, I'd be passing you code. But coding backgrounds usually has to be integrated with the whole design, so if you're game shows use of sprites(which I recall it doing)then you'd be best to use a background image. I'm just pointing to what options exist. But using a mixture of image and code may come with the greatest of results. But then again, I should point out some more points with counterpoints so I can say but again. But I won't

Non-code backgrounds can be higher-detail, while coded bacgrounds tend to have a more Solid, Stark, Bold look, and can be dynamic.
