(KM) Sound Mixing & Composing

Posted by koldmonster1 on Jan. 31, 2010, 10:46 a.m.

I imagined that I made funny noises with my mouth since I was little. Then I started to sing at the school. I was proud when I sing. Listening to the radio was "a piece of cake". Not only I listened to some talk radio shows, I listened to music.

By 1997, I started sound & music composing on QuickBASIC. It was fun to compose for beginners. It had some PC sound & music statements since GW-BASIC. My brother usually watches me compose sound & music on my PC. Then my imagination of music was hopeful.

Two years later, composing sound & music took me to the next level. I first used this great sound editing program "Cool Edit". It was suitable! I had produced some audio effects including flanger, tones, pitch & tempo and amplification. I also started "Music Generator" for PlayStation and PC after that. It was great! In 2002, "ModPlug" was my music & sound creation after I made some NES music. This is one of my favorite 8- to 16-bit trackers ever used today.

I also started "Fruity Loops", and learned a few things because music came a long way with it. I made some techno beats there, and I did. It was…amazing.

Today, I'm an intermediate sound composer. And sounds & music take skill, accuracy, and knowledge to compose them. When I am ready for something very advanced, I will become a great sound master! That is when I compose and mix sounds.

I, normally, used Cool Edit and ModPlug Tracker to make and mix sounds. How about you?

We ask you a question:

Do you have a favorite sound mixing and editing program you use? If so, what program you are using to make & mix sounds with? We like to hear from you.

Next time, we'll discuss my mother's Wii and myself. Plus, if I had a chance to purchase my XBox controller and XBox-to-PC converter, we'll take a look at them from there, so stay put, game makers!

I like sounds & music as much as we do, so we ask you a question again:

  • Do you have a favorite sound mixing and editing program you use? If so, what program you are using to make & mix sounds with?

Okey doey. I'll have my next blog on, or by, Tuesday. By the way, did you see those questions who is about to ask?
