It just took a while to remember my username and password…looks like I deleted my old posts in embarrassment some time ago. And no wonder! I can't believe this site is still up, and that I've been here for over 15 years. One of…maybe my most…longest-lasting accounts online, anywhere. Incredible.
I'm 30 years old, married to a woman I met in Fall 2013. Have a house and a dog. Same job for 8 years, doing IT and web work.Since using Gamemaker last in 2012 or so, I fell heavily into VR and VR development when the Oculus Rift DK1 released. That got me into Unity, which I've been playing with ever since. I never released anything (story of my life lmao) but made lots of immersive atmospheric VR environments. Big, copyright-infringing environments that only I could savor.Spent a couple months building cozy, spooky deep-space environments. Playing around with some Cyberpunk stuff now, and fiddling around with replicating old-school early 3D visual resolutions and glitches to bring me back to my childhood. Never fell into the game dev career I thought I wanted and went to school for, and knowing some people who work for the huge studios, I'm glad I never went down that road.I love to see that others here are still sticking around and re-discovering this site every couple years like I have been. I have a lot of nostalgia for the pre-social-media internet, so this makes me happy.

So relatable, I miss the scattered communities of old. Glad you came back for a visit :DI also never became a game dev and don't regret it, I'm not a 16 hours a day kind of guy.
Social media is actually a Black Mirror episode that escaped. The only thing stopping us from bringing back that feel is ourselves. We can choose to be active in forums or 64D as opposed to our social media, yet, we choose not to. I don't want to sound accusatory, because I'm guilty of it, but who else to blame but myself, you know?
Glad to see an old member come back, even if I myself don't know you too well. I'd be happy to see some screenshots of your work if you share
