Well, I've returned indefinitely but I forgot to ask how your summer went. Mine went well. I toured with the Concord Blue Devils as an avid fan, following their perfect, undefeated season up to finals day where they won with a near perfect score of 99.050. There show was amazing–it was titled "1930". It was based not on the depression but on the music of that time and the events that led up to the depression. Music featured such as "Get Happy" by Harold Arlen, "Piano Variations" by Aaron Copeland, and "I've Got Rhythm" by George and Ira Gershwin. I seriously recommend researching the show.
That is just a small section of the battery book. It's the drum feature, which in itself made percussionists jizz their pants–especially the double-stop fivelets at the start of the quad solo.Anyway, tell me how your summer went. Long. Short. Doesn't matter.
I went camping with my wife and oldest daughter(4) to Lake Berryessa, which was great except for missing an exit, feeling like crap the entire first day and having to camp near a group of jerks who played spanish polka all through the night(til 3am) while gambling, swearing and being all around jackasses….but the next day I felt much better and urge to kill was gone.
To be fair, there were other such jackasses at other points of the camp being equally loud, and you could hear shouts of sleepers vs partiers through most of the night.Economy sure has made that place less inviting, most of the sites are closed, prices high, and lack of staffing as you can tell from my experience.I hear you on that, I don't even have tv since they switched to digital and I couldn't get that signal prior.
Mine sucked.
